Baby shower gift

I received a package 2 two days ago. I nice big rectangle box! It got me so excited, so I tore it open right away. I just love mail that come in big box, don't you ;) So, when I saw what's inside, I got even more excited!!!

In there lie the cutest baby bunnny hat, hand crocheted! In white as main color, with blue ears, and an orange carrot! How cute is that! And there was more! Under the hat lie a baby cocoon with matching color and carrots. My heart just melt! It's so adorable!

Well just look at the pictures! Aren't they the cutest!

Now I bet you all are curious where I got these from or who gave them to me, am I right?

Well, I signed up with etsybabyshower blog a few weeks ago, and they assign me to a mom, who then is in charge to surprise me with a baby gift. Since I'm not going to have a baby shower, I thought this is great.

I never thought, though, that I'd be so lucky and got assigned to Sandy from http://www.etsy.com/shop/SandysCapeCodOrig

Yep - She's the one who sent me these adorable hat and cocoon! Want something thise awesome? Go visit her website! You won't be disappointed!

I failed...

the OGTT that is...! I failed big time at my 1 hours OGTT (glucose test). And I was so surprise!

For those of you who doesn't know what OGTT is, it's basically a glucose test to determine whether or not you have gastational diabetes. The normal range of an hour test is b/w 60 - 130 ml/db. Mine was 153!!! That would be a big fat F in normal score!!!

Once you failed the 1 hour test, they usually put you through the 3 hours test. This test may varries from lab to lab, but in general you go in for 3 hours. You need to fast for 8-12 hours, though. The draw your blood first when you go in before you drink the glucola (it taste like a bad Gatorade). Then every hour after you drank the drink, they'll draw blood from you, 3 times more. So, in total you will have 4 blood drawing session! By the end of the day you won't have blood left and you can't feel your arms anymore!!!!

That's how I spend my Friday afternoon!!! Doesn't that sound like fun?!

Did you pass your OGTT test? Let us know your story!

Happy Thursday...or not...!

So, I woke up to find that my IPhone is not functioning properly! How FRUSTRATING is that! I use to be able to log on to my etsy account but ,today for some reason I can't! WTH!

So, I gotta make the trip to AT&T - but last time I went there, my freaking IPhone worked just fine when the tech was there! Is like going to the dr.!!!

Anyway, don't let me ruin your day! Mostly it's because of me hormones anyway! Lately I'm a HUGE witch with a B - poor hubby!

I have my glucose test today - ugh! FXd for me that I'll pass this dang test!

Here's to Thursday!

March is Knit-a-square-athon month

I’m making March 2010 a knit-a-square-athon month. Who wanna join me?

Here’s why I wanna do this:

There are 1.4 million AIDS and abandoned orphans in the sub-Saharan area who are cold, lonely, and hungry – not just for food but also for love and warmth. By donating 8” squares is to show that someone out there cares for them, and that they are not completely forgotten.

Does that inspire you to wanna help me to help these orphans? No? Not yet?

Well then imagine this:

Imagine a shaking child with a pair of sorrow eyes stared out to the world and wonders why he is here? Why he is alone? Why did his parents left him? What did he do that they have to leave him? What will become of him? Should he have a dream? Or is his entire future lost? He wonders if tomorrow he’ll have enough food – or any food – to eat so he can get through the day. He wonders if he’ll be lucky enough to receive a blanket to wrap around him and make the cold and loneliness go away – even for just a night. Or will he just have to wait a while longer until the have enough blankets for every child there.

Now can you please help and join me for a knit-a-square-athon month? The kids need you!

You can help either by knit or crochet an 8” square and mail them to me or directly to the charity, if you don’t mind the postage. And/or you can pledge to donate money for every square you collected or made. If you choose this option, I advise to set a cut-off amount as it could get too expensive. Lastly, you can pledge to donate $1 for every square I made or collect, and the cut-off is $20 for every person. I’ll keep you updated on my regularly on how many square I’ve made and you can donate your pledged directly to knit-a-square charity, just mentioned that “The Frog and Sheep knit-athon team and your name” when you make your donation. And don’t forget to leave comment on my blog so we now how much we have collected. If you are interested and want to contribute, please leave comment on my blog http://www.thefrogandsheep.blogspot.com/ or email me at thefrogandsheep@gmail.com

Note: I’m not a representative or have any function or relationship with the knit-a-square charity. I just really felt for these orphans and want to help them, even more so as a mom-to-be. They are just the charity of my choice.

I’m counting on you all!

what a nerve wracking thing...

OK - tomorrow is the day - Big Launching Day - for me!!! And I'm totally nervous!!!

I start to doubt that I'll have a chance there at etsy...I mean, who am I kidding! There are tons of knitted babyware sellers at etsy! There is NO WAY I'll succeed!!! Or...do I? I mean I use all high quality yarn, and my stitches are great, since I've been knitting on and off since I was 10 - so about 20 years now.

Deep breath!!! Don't panic!!! And just do it!!! Someone told me to leave a negative karma before enter the etsy world...so I'll try to do just that...! :{

So, I'm calling out for all of you to help support me :) You don't have to buy my stuff to support me...just leave me an encouragement notes or a smack in my head note or whatever...so I can keep on going with this...!

Taking pictures

So, I read that in order to be successful on etsy there is one crucial thing to do - take great photos of your products!

Well...this concerns me since I'm the worste photographer ever!!! I ALWAYS either cut-off the persons' head, legs, arms, or whatever else - the point is that when I take pictures you can bet that some of your body part will be missing!

So, now what? What should I do? My shop is set to launch in a 7 days... :{

I guess I just have to try and try and see what happens...

It's FRIDAY!!! YAY!

This week seemed to fly by so quickly! Soon my husband will turn 35 - wow! Well, he still looks really handsome for his age, though. :D

Oh - here is the scarf I made him - isn't it gorgeous? It looks prettier in
real - I'm just not a good photographer...yet! It's 6'5" long - probably the longest scarf I've ever made. It took me about a week+ to finish it!
Soooooo - what are you all doing this weekend? Staying at home and enjoy the crappy weather? Or going out and have a good time? Share your weekend plan with us!
We are going to celebrate my husband 35th birthday - yay! It should be fun! We'll also have a 3D-4D u/s done, my husband really want to see our bean again, so this is a part of his birthday present, as well. Also, our friends are coming to town, so we'll try to get together with them for breakfast or something! Can't wait! It's always good to see familiar faces!
Anyhow - I wish you all a great weekend!

Did you know...

that retail-therapy has a lot to do with your hormones???!!!

In other words, you can pretty much blame your hormones for your spending habbits without feeling guilty about it. I just read this article published in the GHK magazine this morning! I sure will show this article to my husband this evening. You see - I'm pregnant; and pregnant women have this crazy uncontrollable hormones (or is it just me...?) So, in theory all the spending I made the past 24 weeks and 3 days are just because of my hormones!!! See, you can't blame me! I'm not a bad girl! :D

And all the crazy spending prior to my pregnancy...that's because of my hormones too! I'll provide the detailed explanation later...MAYBE!

Here's the question of the week:

Who else turn to retail-therapy when they are down, depress, or just right before you get your period? Let me know your story! And what did/do you spend on?

My Evil Plan...

So, today I supposed to get up at 7:30am to work on my project, but guess what time I did actually got up? I GOT UP AT 9:30am, you guys!!! In my defence, I couldn't sleep well the previous night - my baby decided to practice NFL in my womb the entire night that night!...Oh well, who am I kidding! I really should have got up earlier than that! Anyone wanna be in charge of waking me up every morning?

Anyway - I'm now working on my husband's christmas present. A beautiful and warm wool scarf. I'm really in love with this scarf! My evil plan is that - I'm going to give it to him as a christmas present and then steal it from him later - hehe! SHUSH! Don't tell him, though!

I'll take a picture of it later and post it - so you all see how gorgeous it is!

My First Blog...

Wow! I can't believe I'm blogging...YEAH! And it did really take only a few minutes to create!

Anyway - The reason I start this blog because I want to blog about and document every steps of my journey through the etsy-seller road - I just want to know what the fuzz is all about. I may or may not be successful as an etsy-seller, but I sure do enjoy the journey, even though I just started.

I've been working on launching my store for about a month now and I hope that I'll be able to launch it by mid January 2010- stay tuned!

Also, as a new mom-to-be how can I not not blogging about my bean! It's impossible! All the moms and moms-to-be know that! am I right?

In other words, this blog will be a very diverse and won't only be about my new adventure at etsy but also about me, my life, my knitting club, the world - and you! You will see what I mean!
